According to a new report, nearly 42% of the French population older than 15 years has a weight problem. Almost a third are overweight and 12.4% are obese. Extra-large clothes comprised 22% of French women's clothing sales at the beginning of this year compared with 18% in 2004.The percentage of women buying bigger C-cup bras rose 7% to 56% between 2000 and 2005.
